Second Phase of Excavation at Vembakottai More than 3,200 artefacts such as carnelian beads, shell bangles, etc. were found in the first phase of excavations from March to September last year. Tamil Nadu State Department of Archaeology- Second Phase of Excavation has started at Vembakottai on the northern bank of Vaipparu river.
