The first meeting of the committee, headed by retired Judge P. Kaliyarasan, will be held in Chennai to discuss the provision of private reservation for medical school students. Palanisamy issued the first announcement in the legislative session that students who study in government schools and get admission in NEED will be given a special place in the medical examination. For this purpose, a committee headed by a retired judge will be constituted and the committee will review the medical education situation and issue a recommendation report to the government on the allocation of public school students within a month.
