10 New commodities added to e- nam ▪ Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI) has formulated tradable parameters for 10 additional agricultural commodities ▪ previously,DMI has formulated tradable parameters for 221 agricultural commodities. ▪ totally we have 231 commodities About E nam ▪ National Agriculture Market (eNAM) is a pan-India electronic trading portal which networks the existing APMC mandis ▪ To create a unified national market for agricultural commodities. ▪ Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is the lead agency for implementing eNAM under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India ▪ launched on : 2016 'Skill India' program to continue with Rs. 8,800 crore: Union Cabinet approval ▪ The Prime Minister's Skill Development Scheme (PMKVY 4.0), Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Scheme (PM-NAPS) and Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) programs have been integrated under the "Skill India" initiative. Prime Minister's Skill Development Scheme (PMKVY 4.0): ▪ Provides short-term skill development training for those aged 15-59. ▪ Rs. 6,000 crore has been allocated for this scheme. Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Scheme (PM-NAPS) ▪ Provides apprenticeship training for youth aged 14-35. ▪ Rs. 1,942 crore has been allocated for this scheme. Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS): ▪ Skill development training for women aged 15-45 and vulnerable communities. ▪ Rs. 858 crore has been allocated for this scheme. Skill India Program: ▪ Launched in 2015, training institutes are accredited by the National Skill Development Corporation. ▪ Skill assessment and certification provided to those who complete training.
