Reports and Indices State of India’s Birds (SoIB) Report 2023 SoIB is published by the State of India’s Birds Partnership. It is a group of 13 government and non-governmental organisations. Key Highlights of the Report The report assessed the status of 942 bird species largely using data uploaded by birdwatchers to the online platform eBird. Of the 942 Indian bird species assessed for conservation priority, the report found 217 species stable and 204 declining in the past three decades.
