A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) to facilitate collaboration between them in operating a special cell of Tele MANAS. Tele MANAS stands for Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States. About Tele MANAS ✓ Launch – October 2022. ✓ Implemented by - Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) ✓ Objective – To provide free 24X7 tele-mental health services. ✓ Implemented under National Mental Health Programme (NMHP). ✓ Toll-free number – 14416. Tuberculosis (TB) elimination India’s goal to achieve the elimination of TB in the country by 2025 has slowed down. According to the Health Ministry, India has been engaged in TB control activities for more than 50 years, yet the disease continues to be the country’s severest health crisis. Note TB kills an estimated 4,80,000 Indians every year or over 1,400 patients every day. TB is bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) is guided by the National Strategic Plan 2017–25 to accelerate the TB elimination. General Awareness and Public Administration NOTA The Indore Lok Sabha constituency recorded more than 2 lakh votes polled for “None Of The Above” (NOTA). It is the highest number of votes that the “None Of The Above” (NOTA) option has ever received in any constituency till now. Note Launch - September 2013. The Supreme Court directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to introduce NOTA. If the highest number of votes in a constituency is polled for NOTA, the second most successful candidate wins
