About Paris Agreement: Fact1- It is an agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), dealing with greenhouse-gas-emissions mitigation, adaptation, and finance. India participated at the United Nations AIDS (UNAIDS) programme at the World Economic Forum (WEF). The theme of the programme was Theme: Access for all: Leveraging Innovations, Investments and Partnerships for Health. Highlights The health needs, technologies and solutions to bridge economic inequalities in the health sector were discussed. UNAIDS Programme The main objective of the programme is to coordinate global action on the AIDS disease and alleviate its impact. It was established in 1994.
WEF’s 1st Global Social Mobility Index 2020: India ranks 76th & Denmark tops the list
The World Economic Forum (WEF) released 1st editionof a report titled “The Global Social Mobility Report 2020: Equality, Opportunity and a New Economic Imperative”. The global social mobility index (GSMI) of 82 countries were launched in this report. As per the Index, India ranked in the 76th position with a score of 42.7while Denmark topped the list.
