Reports and Indices World Bank Report on Progress of Swachch Bharat Project The Swachch Bharat – Rural (SBM-G) program has been found to have benefited immensely. Key Findings The report found that low-income states were the best performers and wealthiest states were partial performers in terms of overall increases in routine use of toilets. When the scheme started, there was a huge gap especially among the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. More than 100 million toilets have been completed and access to toilets has improved. And the report comes as a vindication of the government's claims that practices such as open defecation and manual scavenging will no longer continue in India.
