New Hostels for Women in 9 Districts
- New Thozhi (Friend) Hostels with 700 beds will be established at a cost of Rs.72 crore in Kanchipuram, Erode, Dharmapuri, Sivagangai, Theni, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Ranipet, and Suroor districts.
- The Thozhi Hostels are equipped with 24-hour security guards, biometric entry system, WiFi facility, purified drinking water, and many other amenities.
Identity Cards for 1,000 Women Self-Help Groups
- With the identity cards provided to self-help groups, they can transport up to 25 kg of their products free of charge on village and city buses.
- Through this card, those registered under the Chief Minister’s Medical Insurance Scheme can receive benefits.
- Priority will be given in obtaining loans through cooperative banks.
- Additionally, there will be 5% discount on Co-op Tex products, lower prices for Aavin products, and 10% less service charge at e-service centers.
