Kalaignar’s Dream Home Scheme
This is a housing scheme launched by the Tamil Nadu government.
The scheme was initiated in 2023 by the Chief Minister.
It is implemented through the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board and the Urban Development Department.
The objective of the scheme is to ensure that every citizen receives a modern, well-equipped residence of their own.
Our Village, Our Government” Scheme
This scheme was launched by the Chief Minister in 2024.
Its purpose is to directly engage with the public to address their requests, complaints, and issues.
It operates under the direct supervision of the Chief Minister’s Office.
Scheme for Collecting Unused Items from Households
This scheme was launched in April 2024.
It was initiated by the Chennai Municipal Corporation.
The objective of the scheme is to collect large unused items directly from homes so that they are not dumped on the streets, ensuring proper disposal from households themselves.
Establishment of International-Standard Colored Fish Trade Centre
For the first time in India, this centre has been set up in Kolathur, Chennai. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on 11th October 2025.
The centre is built on a land area of 15,945 square meters.
This scheme was announced in the 2020–2021 Union Budget.
