“Startup Ecosystem in Tamil Nadu: Opportunities and Challenges”
The Tamil Nadu State Planning Team’s report titled “Startup Ecosystem in Tamil Nadu:
Opportunities and Challenges” recommends that financial procedures for startups should be
simplified, market access improved, and public procurement given importance.
The report also states that if the government funding application process is made easier, more people are likely to apply for such support.

This scheme was launched by the Tamil Nadu government on 15 September 2023.
The scheme aims to provide a monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 to women who are heads of their households, with the goal of improving their livelihood and economic well-being.
