Second Phase of Excavation at Vembakottai
- More than 3,200 artefacts such as carnelian beads, shell bangles, etc. were found in the first phase of excavations from March to September last year.
- Tamil Nadu State Department of Archaeology- Second Phase of Excavation has started at Vembakottai on the northern bank of Vaipparu river.
