Living Craft Treasure Award
▪ Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presented the Living Craft Treasure Award 2022 – 23 to eight crafts persons and the Poompuhar State Award 2022 – 23 to 10 artisans.
▪ These awards are presented to crafts persons and artisans who have excelled in their respective fields.
▪ Living Craft Treasure Award carries a cheque for ₹1 lakh, a tamirapathiram, an eight gram gold medal and a certificate.
▪ Poompuhar State Award carries a cash prize of ₹50,000, a four gram gold medal, a tamirapathiram and a certificate.
Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court
▪ Justice D. Krishnakumar has recently been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
▪ Appointment of Acting Chief Justices is to be made by the President under Article 223 of the Constitution.
