Tamil Pudhalvan scheme
- The Tamil Nadu government has recently expanded the scope of the Tamil Pudhalvan scheme to cover students who studied in Tamil medium in government–aided school.
- Over 28 lakh boys are expected to benefit from the scheme during 2024-25.
About Tamil Pudhalvan scheme
- Objective – To promote higher education among boy students from economically disadvantaged
- Benefit – ₹1,000 a month in financial assistance would be provided to students pursuing higher education after completing Classes VI to XII in State–run schools.
