T.N. approves policy on port development with private participation
- The Tamil Nadu Cabinet approved the Tamil Nadu State Port Development Policy, 2023 for the development of ports with private participation.
- The policy aims at encouraging private participation in recycling, shipbuilding and improving ports.
- The policy will replace the Minor Port Development Policy of Tamil Nadu, 2007.

₹5.60 crore spent on Justice Aruna Jagadeesan Commission of Inquiry
- A sum of ₹5.60 crore was spent on the Justice Aruna Jagadeesan Commission of Inquiry according to a response to queries filed under the Right to Information Act 2005.
- The commission was formed by the Tamil Nadu government to probe the police firing at the anti-Sterlite protesters in 2018 in Thoothukudi, which killed 13 persons.
