Tamil Pudhalvan scheme
- Tamil Pudhalvan scheme was launched recently in Coimbatore.
- Over 28 lakh boys are expected to benefit from the scheme during 2024-25.
- The scheme is similar to the Pudhumai Penn initiative which is launched for girls.
About Tamil Pudhalvan scheme
- Objective – To promote higher education among boy students from economically disadvantaged sections.
- Benefit – ₹1,000 a month in financial assistance would be provided to students pursuing higher education after completing Classes VI to XII in Government and Government aided
