‘Chief Minister’s Pharmacy’ Scheme
This scheme has been launched in all 38 districts. A total of 1,000 ‘Chief Minister’s Pharmacies’ will be opened – 500 through entrepreneurs and 500 through the Cooperative Department.
A total of 274 types of generic medicines, branded medicines, and nutrition packages have been procured. The Cooperative and Public Health Departments purchase and distribute medicines.
People with diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease need to take pills daily. Beneficiaries can save 50 to 75 percent monthly on medicine purchases.
Medicines will be delivered by vehicles within 48 hours of receiving the prescription list.
