TN launches mental health helpline and support forum for students
- Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the MaNaM Initiative (Mananala Nallaadharavu Mandram – Mind Health Support Forum).
- The forums will be created in all the government medical colleges to offer counseling programmes to improve students’ mental health.
- The programme will be extended to all colleges and schools.
- The helpline 14416 was also introduced to reach out to psychiatrists at government medical colleges.
