- Theme 2023 – “Handlooms for Sustainable Fashion”
- It honours the Swadeshi Movement, which began on this day in 1905 in Calcutta Town Hall.
- The Swadeshi Movement, inspired by Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s Swadeshi doctrine, aimed to boycott foreign goods, promote self-sufficiency and revive domestic production.
