Profile of States

Megalithic site found in Kerala 

  • Kerala State Archaeology Department found a new Megalithic site at Nagaparamba in Kuttippuram village, near Tirunavaya, in Malappuram district
  • A large number of megalithic hat stones, burial sites and relics were found from the site. 

About Hat Stones 

  • Hat stones, popularly called Thoppikkallu in Malayalam, are hemispherical laterite stones used as lids on burial urns during the megalithic period.

G-20 Ministers of Digital Economy 

  • The G20 Digital Economy Ministers’ Meeting was concluded in Bengaluru.

Tamil Nadu International Surf Open 

  • Tamil Nadu International Surf Open World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) 3,000 event was held at Mahabalipuram, Chennai
  • Japanese duo Sara Wakita and Tenshi Iwami have claimed victories at the inaugural Tamil Nadu International Surf Open.
