- According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 6,85,000 deaths globally.
International Day of Older Persons – October 1
- The day is observed every year to honor and celebrate the elderly, acknowledge their vital role in society, and address the issues that impact their well-being.
- 2023 Theme – Fulfilling the Promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons: Across Generations.
