  • The day was observed for the first time on April 25, 2008.
  • Theme 2023: “Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement “.
  • India’s vision is to eliminate the disease by 2030.
  • The Health Ministry has also initiated a joint action plan with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for malaria elimination in tribal areas.
