Important days World Malaria Day - April 25 World Malaria Day is observed on April 25 every year The day is an important reminder of the ongoing need to address this global health challenge and work toward eliminating malaria for good. The day was observed for the first time on April 25, 2008. Theme 2023: "Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement ". India’s vision is to eliminate the disease by 2030. The Health Ministry has also initiated a joint action plan with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for malaria elimination in tribal areas.
