Kargil Vijay Diwas – July 26
- Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26th July to celebrate the pride and valour of the soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay.
- The day commemorates the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War of 1999.

Torch design for 2024 Paris Olympics unveiled
- Paris Olympics organisers unveiled Frenchman Mathieu Lehanneur’s torch design that mark the year-to-go countdown to the July 26 opening in 2024.
- Organisers said 2,000 torches are being produced from recycled steel. Each one weighs 1.5 kg and is 70 cm tall.
