  • India’s milk processing capacity is about 126 million litres per day, which is the highest in the world.

Awards and Honours

  • Carnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashri has been selected for the Sangita Kalanidhi award of the Music Academy for 2023.
  • The Nritya Kalanidhi award for dance will go to Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari.

About Sangita Kalanidhi award:

  • It came into existence in 1942.
  • The award is conferred by the Madras Music Academy.
  • It is considered the highest award in the field of Carnatic music.
  • The award comprises of a gold medal and a citation.

Indian Railways:

  • Indian Railways is set to launch its 11th Vande Bharat Express train this month.
  • The new semi-high speed train will run between New Delhi and Jaipur.
  • The train is likely to be introduced in the third week of March, 2023 (after March 20, 2023).

About Vande Bharat:

  • It is India’s first indigenously built engineless semi-high speed train. Earlier, it was known by the name Train 18.
  • It has been built by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.
  • The train is a 100% ‘Make in India’ project.
