TN Organic Farming Policy 2023 It is aimed at conserving and protecting soil health, agro-ecology and biodiversity, and providing safe, healthy and environment-friendly food  It seeks to provide safe, healthy and environment-friendly food, besides creating awareness of the importance of organic farming and extending organic farming practices. It is aimed at strengthening certification systems and residue-testing protocols to promote ‘on farm’ or locally produced inputs such as farmyard manure and vermi-compost. Creating market advisories and certification advisories, promoting exports and increasing the revenue of farmers and making organic farming part of education and re-search are among the other objectives. Tamil Nadu stands 14th nationwide under organic farming. A single-window system will be implemented to simplify the certification procedure. A State gene/germplasm bank will be opened to preserve the traditional cultivar seeds of all crops.
