69th All India Cooperative Week Minister of Slum Clearance Board of Tamil Nadu T. M. Anbarasan distributed the welfare assistance in 69th Cooperative Week Festival at an event in Kancheepuram. Note The Cooperative Week is celebrated every year from 14th to 20th November, 2022. It is an occasion to highlight the achievements of the cooperative movement and chalk out future strategies. The theme for 2022 is “India@75” Growth of Cooperatives and Future Ahead”. The Cooperative Credit Societies Act of India was enacted in 1904 Constitutional Provisions The Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 added a new Part IXB regarding the Cooperative Societies. Article 43B was added in the Directive Principles of State Policy (Part IV) regarding the “promotion of cooperative societies”.
