Important Days Armed Forces Flag Day – December 7 The day is observed to honour the courage, commitment and sacrifices of our brave soldiers. The day was first observed in 1949.Defence, National Security and Terrorism Agni-1 India successfully completed the training launch of ‘Agni-1’ from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. Agni-1 is Short-Range Ballistic Missile Range capacity: over 700 Kms. It is nuclear-capable. First deployed in 2007. Agni-1 to 5 missiles are designed and developed by Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). Appointments Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai was chosen as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma were appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers
