The Madras IIT Research Group , has developed a method for detecting disease caused by dysfunctional proteins and genes. It can gather detailed information about tissues and molecules of disease and identify the genes, proteins and diseases that are involved. It is possible to identify the root cause of a large number of diseases by identifying the mechanisms through which these genes and proteins are generated.
