First regional edition of “Divya Kala Shakti Event” (Witnessing the Abilities in Disabilities) held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (TN). Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of TN witnessed the performances and Saroja, Minister of Social Welfare and Nutritious Noon Meal programme and senior officers participated in the occasion. The event was organised by the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD), in association with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Aim: The Divya Kala Shakti event aims to provide a platform for the disabled to exhibit their talents.
