Doctor-population ratio According to the National Medical Commission, there are 5.65 lakh AYUSH doctors as on June 2022. The doctor-population ratio in the country is 1:834. There are a total of 36.14 lakh nurses in the country. The nurse-to-population ratio is 1:476.
