Emission control systems at Thoothukudi power station The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved ₹689.61 crore towards installation of emission control systems at NLC Tamil Nadu Power Limited 2x500 MW thermal Power Station, Thoothukudi. The emission control systems aims to meet the Sulphur dioxide (SO2) emission control norms set by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
