Geographical Landmark Kaziranga National Park Recently, three persons engaged as mahouts in the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve have been arrested for capturing and consuming a rare species of freshwater turtle inside the National Park. It is located in the state of Assam. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses two-thirds of the total world population of greater one-horned rhinoceros.
