Govt-Welfare oriented Govt. Schemes their utility Sanitation Workers’ Development Schemes Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Sanitation Workers’ Development Scheme to protect the welfare of conservancy workers in the State. A mobile application was launched to help identify and collect census data of sanitation workers as part of the scheme. The scheme will be implemented on a pilot basis in select local bodies. Under the scheme, steps will be taken to Ensure that the workers benefit from various government welfare schemes Provide them the necessary training to gain skills essential in mechanised cleanliness drives Ensure that they get pension and insurance Ensure that their children have access to proper education, among other measures The sanitation workers will also be encouraged to start alternative businesses and be supported in their endeavor through loans. Single window system for Green Initiative A single window system will be used to approve green initiatives through ‘Guidance TN’ in the State. It will play a major role in making Tamil Nadu a trillion dollar economy by 2030. Tamil Nadu is focusing on climate literacy to create awareness on climate change among school and college students. The government planned to raise ₹1,000 crore towards a Green Climate Fund, and the State government had contributed ₹100 crore to it. A Climate Change Mission was also launched.
