Eminent Persons Life-size statue of T.M. Soundararajan unveiled Chief Minister M.K.Stalin unveiled the bronze life-size statue of renowned playback singer late T.M.Soundararajan, at Madurai. About T.M. Soundararajan Popularly known as TMS, was born in Madurai in 1923. He was given, the title ‘Ezhisai Mannar’ and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Kalaimamani in 1973-74. He died in 2013. India’s first-night street races  In a first, the Tamil Nadu government launched the Chennai Formula Racing Circuit that will host India’s first-night street circuit races – Formula 4 Indian Championship and the Indian Racing League – in December 2023.  Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin signed a Memorandum of Understanding of three years with race promoter Racing Promotions Pvt Ltd (RPPL), during the launch of the street circuit.  The 3.5 km layout will be the longest street circuit in India and South Asia that will host a night race, stretching across Island Grounds, Victory War Memorial and the Napier Bridge in the city.
