The Birdudhu Nadhabrahmam award was conferred on Kalyanpuram R.Aaravamudachariar. Alleppey Venkatesan received the senior musician award. Tirunelveli P.Subramania Award was presented to Nadaswaram vidwans Sheikh Mahaboob Subhani and Kaleeshabi Mahaboob.
