Awards and Honour  UN-Habitat's World Habitat Awards 2023 Odisha has won the "Bronze Award" in the United Nations Human Settlements Programme's (UN-Habitat) "World Habitat Awards 2023". The award is for their Jaga Mission. About Jaga Mission Launched in May 2018. It is ‘Odisha Liveable Habitat Mission’. It is India's largest land titling and slum upgrading initiative. About UN-Habitat's World Habitat Awards World Habitat award is established on 1985 as a part of United Nations International Year of Shelter for the Homeless. The awards were given by World Habitat, a UK based organisation in collaboration with UN-Habitat Cultural Panorama Jaipur Literature Festival 16th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival is launched on January 19, 2023. Noble Laurette Abdulrazak Gurnah gave the keynote address. About Abdulrazak Gurnah Abdulrazak Gurnah is a Tanzanian-born British novelist and academic. He had been awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize for Literature “for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents”.

13th Jaipur Literature Festival began in Jaipur, Rajasthan

The 13thedition of the Zee Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) began at Diggi Palace Hotel in Jaipur, Rajasthan on January 23, 2020 and will be conducted till January 27, 2020. The 5-day long festival was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot. Arvind Krishna awarded Mahakavi Kanhaiyalal Sethia Award: Renowned poet and literary critic Arvind Krishna Mehrotrawas awarded 5th edition of the Mahakavi Sethia Award for poetry during JLF 2020. The award is given in memory of Rajasthani and Hindi poet Kanhaiyalal Sethia and carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh.
