Kalaignar Memorial International Marathon creates a world record A total of 73,206 persons participated in the fourth edition of the Kalaignar Memorial International Marathon held in Chennai. 50,629 men, 21,514 women, and 1,063 transpersons participated in the marathon, making it a Guinness World Record for the largest running race series. Foundation stone laid for a museum in Adichamnallur The foundation stone for the museum in Adichanallur, which will showcase artefacts from the ancient Tamil civilisation.  The excavation in the 'parambu' in Adichanallur had yielded several 3,400- year-old burial urns containing the remains of people from all walks of life as well as clothes, water, jewels and foodgrains, all of which had been placed inside the urns as a mark of respect for the dead. Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman steps were being taken to bring back over 5,000 artefacts that were excavated in Adichanallur. Note The Centre had allocated `6,000 crore towards creating 15 tourism circuits to connect 75 cultural and religious heritage sites in 30 States. Renames TN Raj Bhavan's hall after poet Subramania Bharati  President Droupadi Murmu renamed the imposing Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here as Bharathiar Mandapam, honouring the nationalist bard.  The President unveiled a portrait of Subramania Bharati 1882-1921 and a plaque renaming the spacious hall.
