Latest Inventions on Science & Technology Tharosaurus Indicus The fossilized remains of an ancient dinosaur named ‘Tharosaurus Indicus’ were recently recovered. Tharosaurus indicus is the name given to an ancient species of dinosaur discovered in the Thar Desert region of Jaisalmer, India. It is a type of dicraeosaurid dinosaur, which was a group of long-necked, plant-eating dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period. The fossils of Tharosaurus indicus were found to be around 167 million years old, making them one of the oldest known dicraeosaurids and diplodocoids globally.
