The Madhya Pradesh (MP) police have launched an application named ‘MP e-cop’ to ensure the safety of women. The MP e-cop app includes SOS (an international code signal for extreme distress) facility which will send an alert SMS (Short Message Service) to 100 and any five phone numbers fed in the app as soon as the button is pressed. Key Points: The app also includes facilities to report about missing documents, mobiles, missing vehicles and missing persons, and also secret information can be shared with the police without disclosing the name.
