NMC to launch ‘one nation, one registration platform’ for unified info on doctors The National Medical Commission (NMC) is all set to launch “one nation, one registration platform” The platform aims to eliminate duplication and red tape and allow the public to access information on any physician working in India. The National Medical Register (NMR) will also be launched under which doctors will be allotted a unique identification number. About NMC NMC is the regulatory body for medical education and medical professionals. It replaced the Medical Council of India on 25 September 2020.
