'Operation Ajay' to evacuate Indians from Israel India has launched Operation Ajay to facilitate the return of citizens from Israel as the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalates. There are 18,000 Indians in Israel. Note Operation Ajay will be the second evacuation in 2023, after Operation Kaveri that brought back several thousand Indian citizens from conflict torn Sudan in April May in 2023.
