Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Policy 2023 Tamil Nadu Disaster Management Policy was released by Chief Minister M.K.Stalin. The State Disaster Management Policy has been formulated keeping in mind some important aspects.  The policy aims to reduce the negative effects of all types of disasters through a robust disaster management drive, avoiding loss of life, damage to public property and infrastructure. Also, the disaster management policy focuses on early warning system for various types of disasters, assessment of risk, disaster impacts, analysis of risk, mitigation measures to reduce disaster risk, prioritizing and coordinating disaster risk reduction activities. Along with this, the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Plan has been created. Disasters include floods, floods, hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, landslides, earthquakes, accidents in chemical plants, nuclear power plants, and radiations described in the disaster Management Plan. The rights and responsibilities and contributions of various sectors to be provided to the elderly, differently abled, children and third gender during disasters have been explained. Currently there are 2,227 primary health centers in Tamil Nadu. Of these, 1,800 health centers are located in rural areas. Apart from this, more than 100 primary health centers are located in areas with less basic facilities.
