T.N. forms panel to streamline CMCHIS The State government had constituted a committee to streamline the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS). The Committee is headed by T. Sundararaman, former executive director, National Health System Resource Centre, New Delhi. About CMCHIS Launched - 2009 The Scheme provides health insurance on a large scale to low-income, underprivileged families Note Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) (launched in 2018) is a health insurance scheme at National Level. T.N. plans to set up centre for advanced manufacturing The Tamil Nadu government in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, hosted a public-private discussion for establishing the centre for ‘India Centre for Advanced Manufacturing’ in Chennai. The Centre aims to support companies in their innovation, sustainability, and R&D endeavours.
