Theme 2023 : Let communities lead Awards and Honour UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award 2023 Abdullahi Mire, a Somali refugee, has been named the 2023 UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award Global Laureate for his work championing the right to education for displaced children. It was established in 1954. The award is presented annually to an individual or organization for outstanding service to refugees.
