Govt – Welfare oriented Govt schemes, their utility Jal Diwali Campaign launched Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched the ‘Jal Diwali – Water for Women, Women for Water’ awareness campaign. The campaign is launched under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) AMRUT is a flagship scheme of MoHUA, in partnership with National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM). Odisha Urban Academy is the knowledge partner of this campaign Objective of the campaign – To empower women in water governance.  Vasippu Iyakkam (Reading Movement) A set of 53 books were introduced under the Vasippu Iyakkam (Reading Movement) by the Tamil Nadu State Education Department. About Vasippu Iyakkam (Reading Movement) Launch – July 2023 in 11 districts Objective – To make reading more friendly and accessible for students of government schools The books are divided into four stages and the reading levels are increased as students’ progress into the last stage. The books are given to children during the library period by volunteers of the Illam Thedi Kalvi project
