Deepika Mishra, a helicopter pilot, was conferred a Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) for an act of "exceptional courage" displayed during a flood relief operation in Madhya Pradesh. She is from Rajasthan.

Defence ' Exercise AFINDEX' Indian Army is set to host the second edition of the Africa-India field training exercise 'AFINDEX-23' from march 21 to 30, and African chiefs conclave in Pune. "The objective is to build upon initiatives taken to strengthen India-Africa relations, with a focus on enhancing peace and creating opportunities to exchange ideas". World Organization pacts and Summits India mooted an action plan to mark 2023 as the year of tourism development in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) region at the tourism ministers’ conference in Varanasi. A joint action plan for implementing the agreement between the Member States on cooperation in the tourism sector was finalised and approved. Kashi has been declared as the first tourism and cultural capital of SCO. The recognition will bring the city to a greater prominence in the global tourist map.
