HISTORY Important days WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY World Tuberculosis Day is a global healthcare event celebrated on the 24th of March every year since 1982, intending to remind and cherish achievements made toward the control of tuberculosis (TB). It also encourages everyone to join the ever-growing movement of eradicating tuberculosis and its antimicrobial resistance as much as possible.                                                         The theme for World Tuberculosis Day 2023 is "Yes! We can end TB!  Martyrs' Day. The legends Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar lost their lives on March 23 in 1931 during the struggle for India's independence and that day in history is celebrated as Martyrs' Day. Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru were members of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), a revolutionary organization that believed in armed struggle against British colonial rule in India
