Defence Exercise Cope India 23 Exercise Cope India 23, a bilateral Air Exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF) is to be carried out at Air Force stations Kalaikunda (West bengal) and Agra in UP . The exercise also includes the presence of Japanese Air Self Defence Force aircrew, who will participate in the capacity of observers. Places in News Zojila Tunnel This tunnel will provide year-round connectivity between Kashmir Valley and Ladakh. The tunnel is Asia’s longest and strategic bi-directional tunnel. It will pass under the Zojila Pass in the Himalayas between Ganderbal in Kashmir and Drass town in Kargil district of Ladakh. It is strategically important because Zojila Pass, located on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh National Highway, is closed in winters due to snowfall.
