Dr. S. R. Ranganathan Awards
- About 40 librarians across Tamil Nadu received the awards from School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi at the Anna Centenary Library.
- 25 librarians received Library Enthusiast Awards (readers circle).
- 12 libraries received trophies for securing the highest donations and patrons.
- The awards are instituted in memory of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, known as the Father of Library Science in India.
- They are presented annually to selected librarians in the State.
- Award-winning librarians were conferred a special certificate, a 50-gram silver medal, and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.
