- This initiative is implemented by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India.

- It establishes centres that provide integrated “phygital” (physical + digital) services.
- It provides access to key sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, financial inclusion, and e-commerce.
- It enables services like telemedicine, smart classrooms, digital governance, and technology-driven agriculture.
- High-speed broadband, FTTH connectivity, and public Wi-Fi support the delivery of these services.

- The model is scalable, sustainable, and based on a community-driven entrepreneurial approach.
- The first Samriddhi Kendra was inaugurated in Umri village, Madhya Pradesh.
